my runner stalled and i cant get it to start again

as the title says my truck stalled on me shortly after starting it. I was driving up hill and suddenly lost power and it stalled and i cant get it start. I replaced the fuel filter, made sure the fuel pump was working, i replaced the spark plugs and wire. i changed the rotor in the distributor. im at my wits end. I cannot figure it out. I tried to check and see if there was a spark but i felt like i was doing something wrong and it wouldnt work. I grounded the threads and tried to turn the truck over but it wouldnt spark. happened with all of them. if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated. it's a 1990 toyota 4runner v6 3.0

i did that. and still no spark. i found out i was doing it correctly im just not getting a spark. im afraid it might be a solenoid or ignition module...both of which are way to exspensive. or possibly the coil but i just dont understand why it would stall out. 1 second it was driving fine, the next it loses power and stalls and now it refuses to start again

I would say coil problem. If starts just fine and when it warms up and stalls you lose power, more like u lose spark and dies. To trouble shoot this
#1 look for a lose connection to your coil from distributor.
#2 when it dies grab a towel soak in cold water squish excess water out,
wrap it around coil and try to start-it if runs you found your problem.
