Yeah, i finished like an hour ago, its so nice having exhaust come out of the tailipipe now!

And Tim its very thin metal, im surprised it didnt eat through sooner.

Eh, that's not so bad. Replace the rear axle, then take off the frame rust and POR-15 it. It'll be fine.

My axle was worse, but my frame looks a little bit better. Though he paid a fraction of what I paid for mine.

My axle has like no rust on it. Pics make it look WAY worse. I may coat the frame. Its not heavy rust at all. all light surface rust except for 1 spot that i have to patch.

Awesome thread.

I like the rig, John. These things look nice fast with a bit of TLC. Reminds me of mine--enough rest to bother my obsessive personality, but too nice of a baby to not love it to death. The best thing is that most of the metal is so thick that the rust doesn't do much. The height keeps body rust at bay, too, since it's not belly scraping like crap cars.

How about that electrical outlet stuff? What can you run off of that with the engine on to power the battery? Don't suppose you could plug in an angle grinder, do you? The only way for me to do work on mine at the apartment is to run 200ft of extension cord to the back of the parking lot. A plug in the truck would be great for other stuff like a laptop, too.
