Thanks!!! next week there will be a pretty good update. :D i just put it in to run my laptop or friends laptops or phone chargers and whatnot considering the early 3rd gens have a lack of power outlets. This model i have probably wouldnt run an angle grinder the 700 might, and the 1000 im almost certainly would, but i run it off a single battery so i wouldnt want too much draw, but even if i do run out i can just bump start it. Theres not as much rust as i tend to say there is, and the pictures make it look much worse, and yeah the metal is very thick, if i were to wire brush it and then POR-15 it you would barely see a difference in metal thickness.

Yeah, when i get the time, i need a weekend im not doing anything and i can just sit under the car for a few hours with a wire wheel and wire brush and clean it up pretty good, then coat it the next day or something, then it should stop all the bullsh*t.
 
How's the POR-15 working for you? Are you going to bare metal and then using the cleaner then the black stuff? Or putting on a bit of rust? It's amazing how a flash under a truck will make rust stick out like a sore thumb.

I want to work a bit more on things underneath since all I did recently was attack the nether places I could see with the running boards off and paint them with a bit of bed liner quick just so it looks nice under there from the sides.

I would get as much off as possible with taking a ton of time, the POR-15 is supposed to absorb surface rust, so if i can't get some off for some reason i will let the POR-15 do it for me...

Rides great, its even more tail happy in rain cause its so stiff, i like the firm ride, its nice to have reduced body roll. And the Toyota Devil sticker i saw on a fellow members truck, googled it, photoshopped a google image of it, then described to my friend with my fingers how big i wanted him to make my sticker. :D
 
Looks nice leveled! I like the ride with my OME coils too since the truck feels much more stable on the road. Any other mods/upgrades planned for Rusty?
 
Beautiful. I regret not lifting mine when I got my new shocks and springs, now.

These things hold their age and grace very well.

Maybe some 32's or atleast some new 31's, 99+ headlights, 5 star rims, I'd throw a snorkel or ARB on there if i get it for the right price :D But there will always be stuff changing on it.
