+1. A nice aggressive set of 32's and the 5 star's will make your truck look even better! An ARB would be pretty sweet too..nicest aftermarket bumper IMO :thumb3:

Brakes!
Not the tundras as i feel the stock brakes stop Rusty just fine except for the large amount of front end vibration when i depress the brake pedal
So i was gonna put it off as the pads have like 35% life left, but then my dad was b*tching about it, so i said screw it and scowered the internet in search of a deal that would justify me buying brakes. Because brakes are a safety feature i decided i better not buy the "cheap sh*t" so i wanted something that was like $50 a rotor with good reccomendation and limited lifetime warrenty, so here is what i ended up with:
I ended up paying only $130 shipped from Advance auto for these (2 wagner rotor and ceramic pads), it was free shipping over $75 and i got $40 off a purchase of $100 or more, but Advance allows you to enter multiple codes so i also did the JL15 code which gives 15% off and a $50 coupon on my next purchase of $100+, but because i had the $40 off this purchase it would not take the additional 15% off, but i do get the $50 coupon, but hey it was worth a shot!
I will let everyone know what i think of the quality of the Wagner brakes, as they seem to be mid range and in many ways a cheap way to change your brakes without getting sh*t quality.

Finally!
First and foremost, CALIPER PINS SUCK MONKEY BALLS, mine were so f*cked it took me 3+ hours of hammering and PB'ing them to get them out, and in the end i bought new f'ing calipers, needless to say i was PISSED.
Ok so after 8 days of bullsh!t, my truck is now safe to drive again. The story goes i i bought rotors and pads for Rusty online from advance purchasing what i thought were the bigger 16" rotors but what turned out to be the 15" rotors (didnt find this out till i had the old brakes off, and i wasnt reinstalling them), and those got in last wednesday, i was like ok ill buy some at the local advance and exchange them out no problem. local advance had to order them and wouldnt get in till friday, i was ok if i must wait. Then the rotors get in on friday, and i go to put them on and the f*cking calipers had 1 piston each that was siezed so i went online and bought 2 Fenco calipers for $114 total + then - the core charges, and picked them up the next day at advance, go to put them on and the ****ing brake line on my driver side broke. So monday rolls around so i can call toyota to get the brake lines $8 i order them, arrival date is wednesday, i call wednesday and they sent the lines along with a bunch of other peoples stuff to a dealer that is 70 miles away instead of my local dealer. So today rolls around and my parts get in, and i put the new line on and bled the brakes and all is well, so far after 25 miles i do not regret buying $55 calipers but even if they mess up i have a lifetime Warrenty on them, as well as the rotors and pads
Here is the pricing breakdown after coupon codes and tax:
Wagner Thermo Quiet Brake pads: $30 (additional mail in rebate not accounted for)
Wagner 16" wheel rotors(2): $96
Fenco Reman Calipers: $114
Toyota OEM steel brake lines: $8
So my grand total is just shy of $250, and i didnt think that was too bad considering the warrenties, and the fact that if the rotors warp i get new ones, and the pads have a 1 time free replacement when they wear out. As for the calipers, only time will tell, but i will let you guys know my opinion on all of this stuff.

I just did rear coils, and a new sticker, thats alot more than i had done prior. Plus i was trying to fix him, i just think he wants to make it interesting so i wont ever forget working on him. And thanks Jim, i am glad to have him working again.

This is a really great pic. It captures a nice statement about Runners.
Glad you go those brake problems worked out. It sucks in the thick of it, but it's always a better education learning by experience. I think it's that these babies want us to be well versed just in case they want some repair in the middle of nowhere.

Minor Tune up: still thready worthy
Maritimer, yeah i love that place for photoshoots it does say alot about 4runners, each picture is worth 1000 words, its a rail yard with some cool old warehouses, about 5 miles from my college.
And to the next update, Rusty is seeing some more love:
Air Filter, Dome Lights (not replaced, just having dome lights, i didnt have any bulbs prior), Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, and a new drain plug, just the annual stuff...
