My son got his 1st 4Runner today

I sold my 4runner last year and bought a 4door Tacoma so it's nice to see a 4Runner parked in the driveway again. He got a 2000 Sport 4x4 with a few extras on it. He's wanting to paint the wheels black this weekend so I know what I'll be doing Saturday.

Love Toyotas. I bought my first one in 1993 on the day of the Blizzard of 93. 1983 FJ60 Land Cruiser, start of a long relationship. As soon as I get a couple boys off my insurance, I'm buying another locked FJ80 as a 3rd SUV.

That's a great looking Sport. I am in the process of painting my rims. We got two done today, will get the other two done tomorrow. I am going with the Toyota Anthracite Metallic. I think they are going to turn out pretty good.
To keep the tire free from over spray we use index cards slipped between the rim and tire.

Oh yeah, that looks much better. I think I am going to have to paint the center caps. I thought it would look good with them chrome, but I like your's better.

Looks awesome! Looks a lot like mine did when I first got. I also got mine when I was 16 and I've loved it. Your son has a great foundation to start on and a great first ride. I know my dad and I have spent many hours together working on my truck and it's definitely memories I'll cherish when I'm older. Hopefully you and your son will have similar experiences!
