My windshield sprayers are jacked...how to fix?

I have a 2006 4runner Sport, Its time for some general maintenance that I've been putting off for some time....this includes fixing my jacked up front windshield sprayers.

They pretty much just spray unevenly. The driver side sprayer, sprays over my car haha....so I need to replace them or something. I don't really know how to go about realigning them so they are back to stock performance. I don't think they are clogged, I stuck a sewing pin in them to try and realign them a few years back...I think I only made them worse.

How do I get the nozzles off of the hood? Anywhere to buy the nozzles? I'd like to get them off to see if I can maybe fix them, but I don't think it will happen.

Try using a paper clip to adjust the nozzles, it's stronger than a pin.

The dealer can get you replacement nozzles.

I used a sewing needle to adjust the nozzles on my old Mazda. It's a real pain to adjust, because what works well when stationary doesn't work at highway speeds--the wind pushes the washer fluid towards the bottom of the windshield. If I compensated for that, it sprays over the car and onto the car behind me.

I am not sure they are adjustable. I bet they are clogged with wax and stuff. If you can get them off, soak them in some solvent and see if they will clear up.

Before you dunk them, blow through them and try to remember how restrictive they are. After you soak them, do it again and test for improvement.

They are adjustable. I had to adjust mine last Spring. Quite easy to do actually.

They are adjustable...

:iagree: Insert a pin or needle to move them as others have stated. See the attached diagram for the OEM specs on where to aim them.
