i bought a 94 4runner a couple of months ago. over the weekend i was putting foglights on it, while i was under the dash doing the wiring i found a toggle switch to the left of the clutch pedal on the side wall/cover for the fuse box. i dont know what this toggle switch goes to. does anyone know if this switch is supposed to be there or if it was added later and if so what is a easy way to find out what it does?

Sounds like an add on, and is likely a kill switch. Trace the wires- 1 will go to a power source- a "hot lead" the other wire will go to whatever the switch controls. Make sure you understand what it does before you pull it out. If its a kill switch, it may interconnect with either some ignition components or an alarm siren.
