HOLY CRAP. Those headlights are so sick. Wow I am looking up to see if they have the same style for 2002's.
 
KellyJ, I'm not sure if they sell them for the 02. I did a quick search on ebay and couldn't find them.

I received and installed the tinted bug shield. I think I prefer it over the titanium one. Matches the lights and the sunroof/window deflectors.

What does everyone else think?

I like the tinted bug shield too, matches everything else better.

Were you able to adjust the low beams properly? I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of these myself and I want to make sure you don't have any issues before I buy them too.
 
Yup, no problem at all. They have adjusting screws like the stock ones do. I've just never had to adjust headlights before. I found a website on the internet that had good directions.

I saw a thread somewhere that someone upgraded the lights to HID. This may be a project I take on sometime. The person I got the lights off on ebay also sells these same lights with HID's installed. I think they were around $300 and change.

Lights look sick man. The black bugshield made it look much better. Defninitely needed more black to compliment headlights.
 
I did see some on a third generation on cardomain but I think they were custom. Oh well. That looks so sick. You could have fooled me I thought they were HID. :bigok:
 
I'm thinking of possibly adding the chrome grill inserts next. They're pretty expensive though for what they are. Anyone have experience in with them? Quality wise.

The hitch step is also something I think I would like to add.

ksneubec - if you do get the new headlights. Just a little warning, there is one bolt that is a real SOB underneath near the fender. Especially annoying to put back on when you get the new lights in.

love the head lights!!! I have the silver sport with the bull bar also and didn't think I would like the tinted bug guard, but after looking at yours I think I'm going to have to get one.

:) I ended up trading it for a tinted one. I sold the titanium one to a member here.

Fo_Sheezy - I looked around for the lights but couldn't find them on ebay. Maybe they sell them somewhere else? I'm surprised because they make them for a lot of different car models.
 
Ordered a hitch step. It's the dominator II $169 shipped.
Like it, but direct from the factory it sticks out too far. I had to drill new Pin holes so that it would go further in.

Excuse the nastyness. Believe it or not, in Vermont a car will look like this after driving an hour in the winter.

It looks better positioned closer to the truck rather than sticking out so far, as you mentioned. I never really liked them before, but it looks good on your 4runner.
 
Still looking sweet, even with all the crap all over it. The hitch is really contrasted to the rest of the car haha. :bigok:

I'm thinking once spring hits around here we should have lots of muddy places to go offroading. So once I get all this stuff on and its lookin sharp I'll take it out and get it all muddy. :)

I found a billet grill on ebay at a great. This was $27shipped for the top three pieces. I thought it may be crappy quality because the price was a lot lower than everyone else selling the same thing. But it was actually very nice quality. Now to find the bottom piece for cheap :)

Dual LED Halo Projector Headlights with Eyebrow

I'm about to install those same headlights this weekend...looks like a biatch to do. I did all the LED mods. Used the 4-led ones and they really light up the place.

I also changed the windshield washer nozzles on the hood to hyper white. Looks very good. I'll also be installing a couple of HID kits to the headlights & I picked up a pair of PIAA 5261 Ion Crystal fog lights to put on the Bull bar. I'll try to post some pics when all is said & done.

I like the billet grills. You should think about getting the bottom one too. I was researching those the other day...I guess they didn't cost too much.

Can you give me some insight as to removing the OEM headlights & how you wired the halo's & those 3 LED's? Did you splice them to the wires of the wedge bulb in the housing? Looks like I have to remove the battery. I'm not going to have much time on saturday for installations so any help will be appreciated.

They weren't that hard to install. It just looks like a lot of wires. They should have just wired all the LED's together and provided one wire but instead they provided individual wires for each halo and another set for the eyebrow. What you can do is wire all those three together white to white, black to black. You can cut back those long wires quite a bit.

I wired mine to my parking lights by just connecting them to the parking light wire on each side.


Post a couple pics when you get them in.

I used these Tap connectors.
