MyT4R 2005 Sport

I changed the wedges in my housings last night and I had a very hard time with the battery being in the way. Did you remove it? i know it says not to use HID bulbs but my friend did it to his Halo projectors on his Expedition and has never had a problem. I looked at that billet grill the other day on ebay and almost bought it. Was that an easy install? They're selling the bottom piece too now. I also have a rear step...I think it says Bully or Rhino or something on it. Your rig looks great!!!
 
I actually just installed that bottom grille part too here at work this evening. I'll post a pic when I get a chance. It's almost like you have to get it cause it looks out of place without the bottom one on the bumper.

You can get that bottom billet grille cheaper at grilles4u.com website than their ebay auctions.

I got the top three pieces from this person on ebay.

Eventually i'll get HID's for mine also. One thing I would note is to make sure you don't lose those little plastic covers that are on the back of the light housing. I lost one and didn't think about it and that light fogged up on me. I put my high beams on for awhile and the light cleared up then I clogged up the hole with a piece of rubber and no problems fogging up now.

I did have to remove the battery. The bolt underneath near the wheel well was a pain in the ass also.

Thanks for the info. I thought I was going to be the first person with those halo headlights but dammit you beat me to it!!! Only difference is that you have the black ones & I have the chrome ones. Noticed you kept the amber wedge & amber turn signal bulbs on there. I said the hell with it & changed mine to hyper white also. As for now I'll just leave the tail lights alone because they have this chrome grill on them. I guess tomorrow I'll buy the billet grills. I just picked up the cargo net for the back of the truck the other day.

Excellent work. I put the amber wedge back in. There was too much hyper white going on. I looked at the billet grills on ebay, but decided not to pull the trigger because in my opinion there would be too much chrome going on in the front. I just installed a chrome front grille yesterday. I like that skid plate, I might just look into that. Damn our RUNNERS look similar, same year and color, only difference is SE & LTD. I'm actually shopping around for 22" rims for summer use. I also have a hitch step and the window visors. Damn. That's alot of similarity. Here's a couple of pics.

No problems at all so far. All the LEDS work perfectly and the main lights are still bright. No pealing like you mention and they went through some pretty nasty winter conditions.

The link you put didn't work either. The person I got them from I think their name wsa kaspeed or something like that.

Just saw you are a reef keeper, had my 125 gallon reef tank up for 3 years. The something happened to the electrical and caused a fire. Haven't had the heart to start up a new one.
 
im sorry im going to throw my 2 cents in, the bar looks nice, the grill looks nice, and you obviously know what you are doing so the install went clean but the headlights...i dont like. it looks to 'riced' out for my likings. not a mod i would have completed. HID's and the LED tails would have been money better spent. but its your ride you mod it the way you like....for me i cant get into those headlights. i think i will do a front bar like that later down the line though that looks nice
 
I am thinking about tinting my 4runner windows with a metallic/titanium/silver tint. Possibly one that fades from darker to lighter from bottom up. I would like to get other people opinions on the idea or maybe someone has seen a similar look and can post some pics to help me decide.

I kind of agree with leftyguns. I think you made some good choices but to me the headlights and the taillights look a little ricey. If I had $200+ dollars I would have spent that on other functional things than the headlights and taillights. To each their own and if you enjoy them and like the look of them then that is all that matters!!
 
Halos for the 08 4runner

Hey everyone, I have been looking all over the net but I have yet to find the halo headlights for my 08 4runner. I really like the look of them especially the black ones. Does anyone know where I could purchase a set of them. I see them up to the 06 models but none for the 08. Anyone know why this may be? Any help is much appreciated.

I haven't seen them for the late 4th gen yet.
