I'm sorry to hear your new sliders aren't working out! That is a real bummer deal! I know you guys worked hard on them. Well, I hope you are able to sell them for a good price and replace them with a longer pair!

Lol, if it makes you feel a little better, we installed my spoiler just a little too high and it touches the top of my truck when the hatch opens and has scratched off a bunch of paint from the spoiler s**t happens I guess. It'll get fixed.

Well those cheap ones you saw, Matt, were probably these. 58 is what they measured and they were only about $200.

I'd really like to get some new ones. Longer ones. I could kick myself, but whatda ya do now? It's okay.

Do you think they'd fit a 3rd gen? Sure wish I knew more 4runner owners local that they could go to. I'd just give them.

The ones from 4xinnovations are 220 with the D.O.M. upgrade and come with the reinforcements I spoke to you about plus there not to far from where you are so shipping won't be to bad! I highly recommend them they offer the straight style like you have now and one with a kickout (same price for each) There a little cheaper if you go with the standard steel option. the DOM is just a little more solid and made more for the monthly off-roaders both metal options are sufficient one can just take a little more beating. Plus there lead time is short compared to most shops they typically have a few sliders in stock ready to ship! plus there 66" and I'd imagine if you called them they could easily make a set an inch or so longer if you really want to fill that area with steel.

Austin, that makes me want to kick myself even more. Ugh! I should have researched more and asked more questions on the forum. Sometimes I don't want to be a bother. Hard lesson learned.

Zach, yeah I'm going to remove them and either sell them or find them a good home and find some longer ones.

I'll just toss my awesome experience with Stubb's Welding in here as well. Can't say enough about how great of a guy Richard was to work with. They fit the 4runner perfect and he'll customize them however you want. Also, they come with the legs and flat plate supports already welded so they're ready to attach as soon as you get them.

stubs, BAMF, and a few other companies all have great sliders. But to get that angle you want you'll need to find a set that doesnt have the tubing already welding (like 4xinnovations :wink2 most of the ones that come with the plates and support tubing already assembled are going to stick straight out.

Those look pretty slick, fedrlbiker. Couple things though, I'd want the same shape front and back and like Austin said, I really would like to position them more to my liking and not so straight out.

Ya, we're going to have to try and adjust it and paint the spoiler with my little touch up paint from the dealership. Luckily it's at the top back, so not noticeable unless you're taller than the truck.

Mine are the SKO (single kick out), but he has a version with no "kick out" if you want. Also, they are angled 20 degrees, but he'll customize them for you. Everything is made to order... That said, he personally tests all of his stuff so he tends to recommend you stick with his designs because he's tried all different variations. Anyway, shoot him an email. He's quick to respond usually.

If you have a youtube account you should subscribe to these guys, also look through there video collection, They have alot of informational video's about off-road techniques (yeah most of them talk about lockers) but a few have some cool tips about finding lines and recovery techniques you can use if your by yourself and find yourself stuck...

you and me both! it's been a goal of mine to make it out to moab in Colorado I'll make it there one day for sure, Just dread the gas bill to make it out there haha (i guess it's only gonna get higher though)

That'd be an awesome trip for you and your wife! To drive across the country and stop and go as you please. If my husband would be up for that I'd go in a heart beat! Colorado is one of the most beautiful places. I would love to live there again. Someday!
