Mytoy4 Build Thread

I had them on and then lifted it. I left them on after I lifted it, but then shortly after got new wheels and tires. The tires were much larger and the wheels had more offset so I didn't need the spacers anymore.

So no issues just redundant. Thanks for responding.

It's been awhile for that lift, how have you liked it so far? I'm trying to decide if I want to with the same one.
Did you end up getting UCAs or the lift was fine on its own after a while?
I want something for the long run without too many complications

Riding it as is above, with the stock wheels and tires, it did drive very much like stock when lifted. I didn't drive it long like that though, since I got the new wheels and tires, which are quite a bit bigger, a short time later.
Once I put those on, then it rode more like a truck and UCA's were needed. I like the ride personally. Some don't. They think it rides too much like a 'truck'.
I'm happy with all the changes that I've made so far. Only downfall? Gas mileage. I knew that getting into it though, so it's fine. I get about 15 in the city.

Terri, I am really digging the look. It has definitely helped me decide on a few things. Mine is an 08 White and really like how clean you have kept the overall look.
I don't have that much experience with 4X4 suspension mods, lifts, etc so I have a lot to learn. I am a Toyota technician and have been for a long time so performing the work is not the problem, it's deciding what to do!

I am impressed with the Icon Stage 1 kit. I think it will be fine with my intentions. I like how I can raise it 1" or go to 3".

My biggest concern about doing all this is how the ride will be afterwards. I want to keep it or try to stay as close to a decent ride as possible.

Some of the guys on your thread are very helpful and knowledgeable, I will for sure be tapping into their knowledge!

If I went with the Toytec Ultimate and BFG AT's (265/70/17) would I need to change the UCAs? Do I have to do it immediately?

I'm sitting on much larger tires now, and still haven't swapped out the UCA's. Just haven't had the time. My alignment was pretty close on, just a bit off on Caster.

Thank you :) I very much enjoy it. You're right, there are a lot of great trucks to get help and ideas from.

well its cus im looking for an OEM one but they're quite expensive and ive been looking at some aftermarket ones on ebay but idk if they're good quality

I'm jealous! Took my Rubicon down there once back in 04ish. Nice area.

Well if you're ever interested in going down there one weekend, let me know. I'd love to have company! I had to play it fairly easy since I didn't meet anyone down there, nor do I have a winch to get myself out had I got stuck

May have to!! Just installed my winch to. Need to finish wiring it up though.
