Mine have held up well to salt, but I'm starting to notice some rust where the powder coat is failing in the smaller holes in the step plates. Not a huge deal since they're meant to take abuse, but they've held up well for the 4 years I've had them. I have sliders to replace them with, but I'm not in any hurry since they're on and they're functional as steps

4 years is impressive. you could contact nfab actually and get a new set under 5 year finish warranty. I contacted nfab to ask specifically about rust in the northern climates. I was told I could remove the end caps and use spray foam filler to help prevent moisture from entering the tubes and/or just seal the caps on with silicone. any rust I'd be covered under warranty

nfabs aren't cheap up here, they are $500+. brine is used heavily up here along with chunk road salt. some had said line-x them , but that's another $200+ when nfab could just do a better job on the powder coat. everything rusts, I get it, but hearing some people having rust after 3 months is unacceptable. I might take a chance on them, have to think about it some more

Here’s my 2012 sr5 w/ the shrockworks rocker panels and the 3” nfab steps

Did you have to remove the original rocker panel guards?
I have a 2012 limited and I think the original panel guards are making it hard for the brave bars to fit.
I read online some people also buy fender molding caps for the front and back.
I guess my question is did you need to buy those caps with the Shrockworks panels?
