Does anyone make something like the N-Fab wheel-to-wheel nerf steps for a 3rd gen t4r??

I can't stand these stock running boards but the old ball and chain would kill me if I didn't have some kind of steps.

Westin does nerf bars for our trucks. They are a bit pricy tho. there are other brands that are a lot cheaper, (Go Rhino) all you have to do is search. Another thing you could do is get some sliders, ive heard they can work pretty good as a step if you slap some grip tape on them

Yeah, I don't have much experience with sliders, but from what I've seen you can choose how close they are to the rocker panel. So if you go a bit lower with them than most do, you can put grip tape on and you'll have what essentially looks like nerf bars but with the rugged durability of sliders.

my savage offroad sliders work great as steps and aren't much more than the westin steps would be. sliders is the way to go

X3 on sliders as steps. I mounted mine level with the rocker panel, and threw some grip tape on them. Still easy enough for my pregnant wife to hop up in my truck. Paid $200 shipped for mine and installed with the help of a local guy with a welder. Pics in my build thread.

Your best bet to get the N-Fab look is to buy sliders. However, depending on the sliders, they might not provide the step you need to get into the truck. Some are tucked under the truck a little more than others. Yes we do. Four half inch holes have to be drilled per side, but they are a bolt on application. Obviously if you chose to weld them, you could do so as well.

I'll be building a set for my third gen soon, and as soon as I get them installed I'll get some pictures posted.

Any updates on this? I looked on the website but not sure if the 3rd gens are bolt on. It doesnt say any option for welded middle plates either.

how much are these? and where do i buy? i checked the site and didnt see these available. i know this thread is from 2014, but hoping to still get these rails.
i need them for a 2001 4runner

It's under the normal third gen sliders. The "dimpled tread plates" option in the drop down menu:

"Two supports"
"Three supports"
"Dimpled tread plates"

Adds $89 to the price, I think
