Ding ding ding! 14 year old ps fluid to be exact. Lol
This is the 2nd bottle I have drawn out. One quart so far. Any guesses on how many quarts will be needed to go clearish again?

i changed mine recently...however mind is only 5 years old....i did a running flush, as in cranking the engine to make sure all the old nasty stuff came out...i think i did it 4 times? was mostly clean after 2, but i had extra and wanted to be sure...hope this helps...Cameron

Think I'll go get two more quarts and hope its pretty clean after one.
So that world standard isn't indestructible? Who would have thunk that. Lol That must be like that Sllc coolant that doesn't need changing till 90k, but starts going acidic in 30 to 40k. I think Toyota wants to sell us parts. Lol

You mean its not Texas Tea? Darn...
As for the SLLC, something to point out that is inherent in ALL Gylcol based (and most coolants in fact) that I learned recently. If there is even a small leak in your vehicle, the coolant will actually degrade prematurely! (also are you guys topping off with distilled water? That's extremely important to good coolant health!)

I concur! The coolant that came out of the same car was a bit cloudy and had a bit of sludge in it at a 3year change interval. All this was caused by a bad cap. It never overheated, never spilt any coolant out of the filler neck.

I just did the complete replacement. Front end in the air and no running motor. Used about 2 quarts to completely change the system.

Ok, that was a total drain all at once, not just pull out the resevior and fill and run again. It may take a few times and more than 2 quarts to get what you are wanting.
Besides your resevior might have a black film in it and you won't be able to tell if it is all red in there. That's just going on your TEXAS brew bottle and what mine looked like when I did it.

Gotcha sir, That pic was the 2nd bottle of black gold that was pulled from the system. It was muuch thinner than the first. Two more quarts will buy me about 12 more draws on the system. Should be plenty of maintence.

I think your good to go now. If I didn't know what you where doing and where it came from, I'd say you got the wrong fluid there.
