Name This Part?

Can anyone tell me what this part is - and specifically if it relates to the headlights or fog lights. It's on a 2014 TE if that makes a difference.

Look on the back side of that part. Use a mechanics mirror -larger version of what a dentist uses. My 2014 SR5 2WD has 2 parts numbers on the back of that part:

Toyota 89580-60050

Denso 104993-4731

I'm reasonably certain of the Toyota number; not sure about the Denso.

Googling the Toyota number, I gets hits on a number of Asian part sites, but that number is not known to 2 of the U. S. dealers I use for this sort of thing.

My interpretation of the Denso number - especially the last 4 digits may be flawed. I see a lot of Denso 104993 xxxx

xxxx = all sorts of things - so maybe my eyes are failing me.

You'll see the numbers reversed of course.

Resurecting this. I have used some wires from this connector to power some LED's. It has delayed power off in conjunction with the key. Which worked perfect for the application. However, the other day the lights came on with the key out of the ignition. I have studied the electrical diagrams to the best of my ability, but I can not find this part in them anywhere. Please help me trace this parts function/wiring in the diagrams. Best I can figure its part of the cooling fan system. Only because that's the listed use of the module in other vehicles. I can't find it anywhere in the wiring diagrams online.

Some kind of resistor according to the part numbers. Given this, I'd be reluctant to tap off of either of the wiring harnesses. In a resistive circuit, any time you add more resistance in parallel it has the effect of lowering the total resistance in both circuits. This could be detrimental given that we don't at present know what this module is for.

I know this is bringing this thread back from the dead but I couldn't help it.

That is the "Air Injection Control Driver" the part number on our 15' 4Runner is #89580-60050

It is supplied battery power on terminal one of the 2 wire connector and also ignition power (the delayed source you found) through pin 5 of the 6 pin connector.

I just happened to be looking to buy one of these for further bench development of our Secondary Air Injection Delete Module (different than our bypass modules) and just couldn't let this thread continue to exist without answering.
I find it interesting that you noticed that it powered with the key out. Development and investigation to continue.
