NAV limits and other countries.

I'm in Canada and I can't get NAV. I was wondering if anyone has gone to canada using the NAV and if it worked or not. Also having no idea how it works... I wanted to know if you had to pay subscription fees? or does it just work like GPS and and a road map...

I believe that the DVD navi systems do cover most of Canada. Even my little Magellan RoadMate 700 cover most of Canada.

There's no fee (unlike OnStar).

Toyota's system is a simple GPS-based unit with detailed maps on DVD.

Thanks for the responses. Also wondering what happens to the 6 cd changer console... is it still the same? or do i have to delete the 6cd changer for the NAV?

i have a limited on order with nav and i the dealer indicated it will have a changer as well.

Hey Hawk,

Be careful. My dealer told me I had the changer, but when the truck came in, there was no changer. It was an add on option that they did not realize when I ordered the 4Runner with the NAV.
