Navigation Error Message

My navigation system has gone berzerk and I received this annoying "error" message stating that the dvd was not readable. I see no maps, nada. I've never messed with the navigation DVD area since buying it. So I had nothing to do with it. Do I possibly need to take it out and reload it?

What do you guys suggest I do to trouble shoot??? I don't want to mess with it until I hear from you guys.

I will also need some basic information as to how to open to best get to the navigation system without damaging my truck because I loooooove my 4runner!!

Is the dvd scratched? I'd try taking it out looking at the surface for any -serious- scratches little ones shouldn't mess it up, and reloading it. Maybe a reset of the system somehow by disconnecting the battery? warranty?
