Navigation Error Message

My navigation system has gone berzerk and now I get this message saying that the nav is dvd is not readable (something like that). I see no maps...just a blank space. Luckily my radio still works. I've never messed with the nav system so maybe the dvd is dirty? Who know's.

Anyway, what should I do to trouble shoot?? I will also need some guidance as to how to best get to the nav system without damaging my truck.

Check the NAV DVD for dirt or damage by hitting the Open button and ejecting the MAP disk.

After that you might want to look for error messages using the method on this thread...

If there is no obvious damage or error codes I'd suggest a trip to the dealership.
