I PURCHASED A COBRA 4500 SERIES NAVIGATION SYSTEM BACK
IN NOV OF LAST YEAR THAT I USED IT ALL MY TOYOTAS.BUT LATER
I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS ILLEAGAL TO HAVE ANYTHING MOUNTED IN THE CENTER OF WINDSHIELD SO I TOOK IT BACK
AND GOT A REFUND(COSTCO) . I MISS IT ALOT BUT AT THE SAME TIME I WAS ALWAYS VERY NERVOUS EVERY TIME I SAW A POLICEMAN. I TRIED IT IN CENTER CONSOLE OF MY 4 RUNNER
BUT IT JUST DOES NOT REST THERE COMFORTABLY. MY WIFE
SUGGESTED TO HAVE A IN DASH UNIT INSTALLED AND FRANKLY
UNLESS I DO IT MYSELF I WOULDNT TRUST ANYONE TO TEAR INTO
MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE.ANY THOUGHTS

OEMValue.com if you want to have a factory navigation unit. The only difference is this one has green back lit buttons (Sienna), the factory installed 4Runner one is amber.

Eclipse AVN series if you want to play DVD movies and go aftermarket. I personally like the AVN-6600, dual-slot DVD, so the map disc stays inside and you can watch movies. It's straight plug and play (doesn't require a harness) and the steering wheel controls work just like OEM.

Pioneer AVIC-Z1 if you want a HD based unit. It also has Bluetooth.

You can install it yourself, there are instructions posted here with pictures of how to take the dash apart and remove the factory headunit.
