Being a Western North Carolina Resident, news and photos of the recent and never ending fires show up on my Facebook feed constantly.
A lady, able to escape the fire but had to ditch the her 4Runner and house, posted these photos.
A sad day ladies and gents, poor Limited didn't deserve to go this way. :Cry:

I don't know the woman personally but she posted about the experience too, she made it out with her dog. A family friend apparently called her and told her to get out of the area shortly before the alarm went off in her house and her house was on fire, she fled down the mountain in the 4R but there was too much fire across the road for her to drive (I suppose?) so she got out of the car and ran to safety.
Not really sure how that makes sense but she survived.

Fires are out of control here. Gatlinburg Tennessee is virtually non existent as of yesterday. over 40 building fires including the Ripley's Aquarium.
 
I'm glad she was able to get out safely with her dog. On a side note I thought it was interesting to see all the plastic bits that are gone as indicated by the mounting holes. Damn shame

That's one of the most interesting parts I found about the photos. Fenders, Gone. Front Bumper, Gone. Rear Bumper, Headlights, trim, and all sorts of other things, Gone and Gone. Even the glass is either shattered or melted.
 
I was aleep most of the day so I did not catch up on the news. Are there a lot of fires in that part of country now? What are main cause (s)?

Umm... Yes:

We haven't any significant rain in about 2 months. The leaves catch so easily that it spreads.... like wildfire

Its probably nearing 100,000 acres of burn. which is about 160 square miles.

Oh snap! Yeah I live in Central TX so I know about droughts but I don't think we have same topography as you guys. Yall have woods, mountains and stuff like that. Last major wildfire here was in Bastrop 2011 if I recall right. They have a lot of pine trees in that area. They determined fire started by power lines contacting dry branches of overgrown trees. Our last drought lasted several years

Generally don't get droughts as long or as bad as Texas, but when we do its devastating. Rain has began rolling in the last 12 hours so that will help tremendously.

Zoom in on pic. Says "sunshine state" on bottom of tag. Thought it was my moms at first but just heard from her. Hope this fire gets rained on soon.
 
I saw this on my Facebook feed as well and came here to see if it had been posted yet. Another interesting part of the picture is you can see trails of aluminum from where the wheels melted and I guess engine or radiator.
