Think how awesome the park will be when the leaves are changing colors and the weather is perfect! Who's in? Maybe cross post this to the other gen forums and we can have a huge meet? The park has something going on the last weekend in sept and the second in october, who is in for October 1st and 2nd? I'm down to camp and wheel two days

West Islip here! If I go do you think NOT having rock rails will be an issue? I had side steps but the last time I went to RC they wanted to stay

This trip I'm not too stock. Prior to RC I have been planning to get tires either 275 or 285 and just maybe get rockrails.

For anyone thinking of going, I went last year with fellow T4R.org's and it was fun as hell! Pull the trigger and drive out!

You wont need sliders to run the greens and blues.. My first trip I went completely stock and without my 4x4 working- kept up with everyone without damaging my truck. Had an absolute blast.. So if you wanna get tires go for it, you wont need to do anything else.

As Opi said- this would be a great time to learn- we'll be doing the greens and blues which are a blast but nothing to to extreme. They're will be plenty of people to help guide you through any tough areas so come out and have some fun.

Haha, that makes two of us.. Everyone go to that facebook link- its the Northeast 4runner Owners Assoc. page- an event has been made for this so rsvp. Also if your local, alot of trips get posted on there long before they ever make it onto here, its a much easier way for us all to keep in contact.

Any idea how a stock '03 SR5 would do? ive never been to any trails other than some in the woods with some mud pits and things like that...no rocks or anything. I took off the running boards and eventually wanna put some sliders on but I think I'm gonna wait for a lift first (which can't be until at least January; damn power train warranty)

Also this sounds fun especially since I haven't gone wheeling with anything but Jeeps so far..ugh haha

A lot of guys going will be bone stock and said they're taking trails -greens n blues- to wheel on
Some coming are RC veterans and know what trails to take and NOT to take for us non35" tire folk.

I've got some mods and hope that wheel (pun intended) have FUN :lookout:, Get dirty then drink a little drink:cheers: and smoke a little smoke round a campfire with smores!:reddance:
Will be my wife n kids first time so this has got to be real special. I need dirt, mudd lots of it and a rock or two. Beans, bacon and biscuits and moonshine to swalla it down.:hungry:
Then before bed get the good book out n pray for mercy and forgiveness for our father in heaven that we can all stop saying the famous redneck quote "Hey dude check this out!" which then follows an unholy act of some flipping, grinding, crashing of a stunt gone wrong.
For all us 4Runner trail riders, the father, sun and holy ghost go ride in the spirit of our lord, United States of America and playing in mother natures backyard. Amen Brothers.

yea sounds like its gonna be fun. i just gotta find a buddy or two to take along. i would definitely like to go, being a fairly new T4R owner.
