near imposible to roll windows down (1986)

hi, i just inherited an 86 4runner from my parents (ive always wanted that damn car). its a real fixer upper and most of the problems have been taken care of except a couple. the one im working on now is getting the door panel off so i can oil the windows. I got the handle off and all of the plastic thingy's holding it to the door itself but i cant get the window controll off, i dont see any screws to take out and ive tried just pulling it out cuz i know that works on our old suburu, but that doesnt seem to work either (maybe im just not pulling hard enough but i dont want to breake it). so does anyone know how to get the damn thing off? any advice would help

Can't help with the panels but have you tried silicone spray in the window channels ?
