need a little help on 93 4runner...

hey yall i have a situation here...my coworker has a 93 4runner thats been sitting for about a year and engine is bad...other than that everything else is in good condition...how much should i offer him? and how much is to swap another stock motor in it? i need some help here im new to 4runners...thanks yall.

Cost all depends on if you buy a motor used, or a rebuilt motor from a company or rebuild the one thats in it. But your looking anywhere from probably 1grand to 3grand depending on if your doing labor or not. Definetly should try and get it for as cheap as possible. Also look at craigslist because 2nd gens are going for 2k to 3k running

If it is clean but not running, offer him $500 to take it off his hands. You can spend $3000 to have a remanufactured engine slapped in there are less if you rebuild the one he has.

Just offer him $500 for the old one and then give a $1100 and rebuild the motor. Toyota's will last a long time once the engine is rebuilt. You can also find rebuilds online for like $1800 bucks with a 3yr warrenty. If you have the money for it then it is going to be definently worth it.
