When I got my exhaust put in I noticed one of the converter heat shields was gone, and i'd like to put one on to match the other side and to make sure it's not heating up the floorboards too much.
Does anyone know if there's a universal shield I can buy that'll fit? The converters look like a universal shape, kind of like a Magnaflow metallic spun cat. I figure if there's a universal one out there for highflow cats like that, it'll fit. All I can find like on ebay are OEM specific ones and can't find any for my 4R yet.
Or does anyone know if not having the shield is an issue at all? I don't offroad the 4R, its 4WD is for blizzard action so i'm not worried about it burning any tall grass, just maybe heating up the floorboard too much and possibly burning the carpet/sound insulation. So far I don't think it's been an issue so I could probably take the other heat shield off and be fine but you never know.
