Need a reputable shop in RI to install lift

Hello all,
My first post here. I am looking for a shop that has off-road equipment install experience. I am planning on installing the Daystar 2.5 front 1.5 rear on my 07 4runner limited and have been turned down by local shops because "they don't do that" type of work. Just wondering if anyone from Rhode Island knows a garage that has off road experience. Thanks!

you need to move. your mod is the easiest to do. try a alignment shop and see if they will do it.

A ton of shops by us wont touch spacer lifts with xreas or xreas itself for that matter. Very hard to find someone who will for me that isnt a dealer... and they never want to hear it when you try and tell them stuff.

The morons at my mechanic tried to tell me that XREAS was linked to the master cyl. and my XREAS was failing because of a frozen caliper :crazy:

Find a member in the regional groups. It might be worth a drive to MA or NH.

I paid $275 labor only for the following done.

New dint and rear springs, new front and rear shocks/struts, front and rear Diff fluid change, transfer case fluid change.

Prices you getting are like dealership hourly rates... actually more than a dealership, they get $105 per hour here. It takes only 2 hours to three to do.

yeah i agree it's high, but it took me and an ASE master tech several hours to do, the XREAS makes it a real pain in the ass. Between rust and stuck bolts blah blah blah it took a while. I'd say probably more on the 3-4 hour side.

Try L&S Automotive in EG. Talk with the owner directly so as to ensure they understand your needs with the XREAS -- think his name is Lenny. They should be able to help you out.

Zak, just because there is a master after any acronym doesn't mean he knows the ins and out of getting these things on. Hey I am only going by what he charges me. I knew not to mess with the 10 year old rusty suspension especially if I didn't have a torch to burn the bolts off
