Need advice on 2006 4Runner Limited Navigation System

Were you able to get all three steering wheel buttons on the right bank working?? I thought I read somewhere that was only possible with a stock unit. I'd like to get the same setup for my eclipse.

Do you know what dash kit was used to "close the gap" along the sides of your nav? Thanks!

I think I have the same stock controls on the left as you guys. It now does the same functions as stock with the Pioneer, volume, change stations, and then change source modes. I didn't do the phone controls on the right side of the steering wheel, but with the Pioneer it is really easy to call someone with the touch screen.

Yeah I didn't think it was possible to get right side steering wheels controls if you didn't have it already without getting a new steering wheel, but I could be wrong.

I recall that all the wiring was there and ready to hookup. Even on the steering wheel you have (looks exactly like mine). It was just potential issues with the stereo recognizing the commands, even if you have the interface unit. I don't know but that's what I remember...I'm just hoping the OP can verify.

Oldboy - It is a Metra kit.

TRDCal - Ok that makes more sense then. So if you do get the right side steering wheel controls, then do you have to get a new plastic piece for the buttons then?

Hi I also have a question. I have a 2003 4runner V8 limited 4x4. It has the JBL Synthesis system with the JBL radio with the RDS and stuff. I'm about to buy a 2003 4runner OEM JBL in dash from another guy. Will this be plug and play?? Will the radio fit right into the dash??

Since you already have JBL Synthesis system with the JBL radio with the RDS, why do you want to buy another JBL system for 2003?
