Need an easy trail recommendation for this Sat

My truck is stock and I'll have my two young boys, so the trail needs to easy/moderate with a good destination, or site along the way. For example, some trails we've done, the water crossing further up Bee Canyon or the helicopter wreck on Toro Peak. Any ideas?

Within 1-2 hrs of Temecula/Wildomar.

I was eye balling Tip Top Mtn via Burns Cnyn, but am still researching. A creek/water crossing is a plus. I read boyfester's report about Grapevine Cnyn and that looked a possibility, until I got to the part about winching up and cracked the skid plate.

I was thinking about doing a trail run Sunday somewhere, but you could follow some of the past trail reports for info. I wouldn't recommend going solo on some of these trails, the buddy method is preferred.

While solo I stick to fire roads or similar, which is pretty much what I'm looking for. Bee Canyon is about the toughest I'll do. Easy enough to make it in 2wd and no rock gardens to worry about, yet fun enough for the boys to get thrown around some.

Fun day trip -- Nate Harrison grade up to Palomar observatory with a vegan restaurant onthe way. Easy dirt road, scenic and you can take the highway back. Check Dirtopia and also search for "BobsTrail Nate Harrison" on this forum for photos and more info.

For a longer trip -- Oceano/ Pismo dumes. Problem is it's 200 miles from OC. Air down to 15 and your T4 will surprise you on how well it does, even on stock tires as you drive next to the surf then turn into the dunes.

Main Divide is pretty close to you, thinking about heading up it myself Saturday with my 6 year old to go check it out. Pretty sure it's stock friendly from what I've read, but hard to say with the rain we just got.

1N12 is a must and really nice you end up in angelus oaks about 1 hour from your area

Thanks for the rec's. Good to know about Nate Harrison, I camped up there a few years back and saw it, but never followed up.

North Main Divide is good easy one, I've done gone from 74 to Silverado Cnyn and to Corona, and vice versa a few different times. The view at the top is awesome on a clear day.

Any good stopping points along 1N12? Looks like a good trail to take you back down the mountain.

Yea theres a campground towards the top you can explore
Or towards the bottom theres a turnout where i seen people leave there trucks and walk to Morton lookout
Theres also i bypass at the top which is pretty fun and not hard at all
