Need clarity on rear spring mod for FJ to 4R swap

Hi

I searched and read but my head is now spinning from all of the articles - several contradicting each other.

I have a 2007 4R LTD.
I ordered Moog FJ ‘07-09 springs.
The springs never sat right on the perch.
We slightly ground the spring to try to get it over the perch.
It sat right for awhile but now I have a broken spring.
I even ordered a second set of springs just in case the wrong ones were originally sent. They just don’t sit on the perch.
Am I missing something?

its just like that, mine never seat right in the first place, but after a while it goes in, some people heat up springs or cut a little of the coil to make it work.

Bunch of people have had issues with the rear Mooj FJ springs not seating properly. Go with AC Delco. Haven't heard anyone have issues with those.
