Guys I’m old school Toyota. I have 1998 Tacoma built to the tits and and 2001 4Runner just lifted. Both with the 3.4. So I ran across a 2011 4runner that I really like the looks of but it’s got 85 k on it now. Wondering if I should pay the 23k they want for it? How’s the 4.0 holding up and help with any problems to look out for. Thanks

Not sure about long-term. I'm at 70k on my 2011. What's the trim on the 4runner? 23k seems high for an SR5, about right for a trail or limited.

113k on my 2012 w no issues from the 1GR-FE. Bought it used with 58k miles.They have a timing chain so there is no belt to replace. My son and I drove from Fla to AZ for Christmas in 2016. 6k miles round trip and the Runner ran flawlessly with the odo over 80k miles. There are members on here with more miles than mine and have not reported any issues either. Good luck!

143k on my 2012 and runs great so far. I would take a good look into the oil filler tube with a flashlight for sludge or bad varnish. Might also pull one of the cam position sensors off and look through that hole with flashlight, you can see the cam lobes and check for scratching.

Bought mine used with 51k on it & now have almost 87k solid ! Change oil is all so far .
