Need feedback: decent price for used Manik brush guard

Hey all,

I picked up my 2000 4Runner a couple months ago and decided shortly after buying it that I didn't want the brush guard. I'm planning to get a new bumper, so it doesn't make sense to keep it.

Can I get some opinions on what a decent price would be for a 3rd gen Manik brush guard? I'd like to sell it to someone on T4R.org for a good price, but it would have to be local to San Diego due to size/weight.

Mods: if I'm breaking any rules regarding pricing (or it needs to be moved), go ahead and close it down and I'll re-open in the classifieds area.

most guys on here dont like brush guards but i have one personally though it came with my car when it was given to me. I would say that the few that do buy/have them on here have purchased them on CL and typically find it in the range of $50-100.

My truck came with one too! Actually it came with one on the front and back and regardless of what people say it has saved my bumpers a few times from being gouged up by other peoples parallel parking stupidity. I even had a guy intentionally run into the back of me and all I got was a small scuff on the rubber part of the guard. :AK47:

i can say it helps too bc ppl have hit my car trying to park and it either doesnt do anything or slightly pushes the brush guard in so i just loosen the bolts and pull it out and retrighten.

MANIK grill guard. I purchased a Manik grill guard from a crock who did not have the brackets for my 200 4 runner. He claimed you can get them anywhere but Manikl is out of business and have no idea where to get them.
I need a picture of the brackets so I can have a wekder make new brackets.

If you have a welder do it then he should be able to figure out the brackets but maybe you'll get lucky and someone will get you pics.

Keep in mind that 96-98 4runners have a different front bumper than 99-02 so the brushguard is also shaped differently to fit these 2 different bumpers.

Brush Guard Bracket

A brush guard came from 96-98 will not fit into a 99 - 02 models. But a brush guard from 99 -02 will fit 96 - 02.
