Need help ASAP installing toytec lift!

so glad i live on the west coast...


and thats not gonna fall under a frame recall. i hate it when i hear people *****ing about this. this is not toyotas fault, this it the owners fault for not properly taking care of their vehicle. simple maintenance could have prevented this, such as washing the vehicle regularly and spraying off the corrosive chemicals "you all" know they use back there... and to go a step further shoot a coat of paint over the exposed metal to further protect it... every year i clean and shoot a coat of epoxy paint over my frame in any spot that it needs, i do not let it get to bare steal, its called preventative maintenance people, its cheaper than fixing the damages caused by neglect. -to the OP im not saying this is your fault persay, but yeah dont expect toyota to do anything other than say sorry and offer to sell you a new 4runner. this will happen to any car or truck out there, so stop blaming toyota for something that is natural nature

A couple things , first off I'm sure most 4runner owners can agree that our trucks are more prone to rust then most vehicles on the road especially in the bumper / frame area with it without matinence a 10 year old frame should always be safe to drive , my dad owned 4 different 4runners while I was growing up , (prob why I love them so much) an 88 which he did a frame treatment as well as a 94 which both were very well maintained washed almost every day if there was salt on the road both of those trucks rusted to holy hell , the 94 was my first vehicle when that one was gone it had no wheel well flares , no bumpers and a huge hole through the crossmember , and that truck was treated better then anything on the road , garage kept etc anyways it's perfectly reasonable when I see my gf dad's tundra from get a recall and another friends Tacoma both from 01 to get recalls when neither one of there frames were as bad as mine or any if the 4runners I've been in contact with to be like what about mine! So chill rust is part of life especially in the northeast but I've been here all my life and I've been under allot of cars and unfortunetly the 4runners are some if the worst
