NEED HELP! - Check Map Disc - AVN5435

Yesterday, I removed my radio to add some wiring for the AUX feature on my Eclipse AVN5435. After reinstalling, all I get is a "Check Map Disc". I understand at this point that I need to insert the Nav DVD. I did, but it will not proceed to download. It just stays on that screen. After trying and trying, I realized that I don't actually have an Eclipse DVD, but a Toyota, North America DVD. Is this a problem? Will I ever be able to get this thing going again without the original? Was this the original DVD?? I just purchased the vehicle about 1 month ago and this was the only DVD in the system as well as in the vehicle itself. I noticed that the Toyota DVD says Denso on it and so does a picture of the Eclipse DVD.

Does anyone in the Austin, TX area have this DVD that I can just use to load the software and then continue using the DVD I had already been using? It was working before I unplugged the radio, and should continue to work, I THINK, after I use the correct DVD to get it started. Any ideas???? :bash:

Just to let everyone know. I was able to download the MDV-09D .rar file and burn the DVD myself. It is working again. IT IS possible to burn on your own and save $329. I spent $49.99 for a dual layer burner, and $13.00 for 10 DVD+R DL. :bravo:

MDV-09D .rar

To everyone who has sent me an email looking for the .rar file for this nav system. It is no longer on any of the torrents I have searched. Now, I still have the procedure on how to get it done so you can search for yourself. You can even use this to try and find the 2010 file. I also have a copy of the .rar file but am not willing to host it on a torrent. If anyone is willing host it, tell me how we can get this done and I will do it.

I sent this fella mdv-09D for the price of a DVD and shipping, have yet to receive payment... He seems like a decent guy, responds to texts and says he will pay. Perhaps he is just forgetful.

My husband just purchased a truck with the AVN 5435 and the battery died and now he is receiving the same error message you described. We do not have the original DVD due to we have only had the truck a few months and the previous owner had this system installed. What would you charge for a duplicate copy of the map disc?
