Need Help. Crazy Lady on cellphone took out my mirror

I got the mirror off removing the three bolts. The wire connectors are behind the door panel. I have really bad luck removing door panels so I need a play by play tutorial. Can anyone help me?

I cant find any screws to remove the door panel and I am afraid to just man-handle it. If you would rather call, please PM me for my cell phone number.

Just any auto parts house? What do I ask them for, what am I looking for? Is that long slim jim looking thing with a a slot down the middle of it?
 
Found two screws behind separate hidden panels in the door. One at the handle and one above the little shelf. There is still something holding it down. Any clues?

After you get what screw's are there out and pop it off the door, the panel should slide up. Slide it up and it come's off the door.
 
On Ford, Chevy, and Land Rover the handle stay on the door and slips through the door panel. What about on the Yo?

You should be able to slide it off the door panel and unclip it from the rod, atleast on mine and all the one's i've worked on.
 
I am about there, it really pisses me off. I think you may be right though. I am afraid I am going to *%@! this thing up and then I will have a bigger problem. Dealer told me to just cut the wires, but I hate to do that. I have to get the housing that is just hanging on the side of the car off though. That is the only reason I am even jacking with it.

Anyone think I should just cut the wire? I know there is a hot lead in there....

I want it fixed right now, and the part wont be here for a week. Thank God they have one in Cali, and it doesn't have to come from Japan.
 
Here's the deal. 2 screws you already found. Third screw is behind the door handle itself. There is a flat panel that prys out easily by the handle's hinge. You can easily pull the door panel off with your hands. Start at the bottom closest to the door hinges. Pull it towards you- hard. Work your way around and up. When all clips are unhooked, grab the panel by the door handle and lift up to release it from the window channel. You can get in there to release those wires at this point without disconnecting the handle/lock cables( no rods) Sp8ball and I are doing a writeup on this soon... DO NOT CUT ANYTHING- anybody that has read my threads knows I love to cut stuff up, but not this!!!LOL

no flat panel exists as you have described that i can find. Can you PM me your cell so i can text you a picture and point to what I am seeing on a Trail Edition?
