Ok, so I am the new owner of a 2007 4Runner. So far, it's been rock solid. I took it through a car wash over the weekend to get the salt off of it and heard water running what sounded like through the window sills and down the b pillars. Once I was home I took a look from the outside and noticed two black plastic strips that run up each side of the windshield and down the roof to the roof-rack. Where the windshield meets the roof, these strips appear to be coming out of their tracks. Can anyone tell me what these are called and if it is something that I can replace or does a body/glass shop have to replace them?

Do believe those are a dealer item, this is what I was told from several glass companies.
Follow up
So, just thought I would follow up in case anyone is interested. I spoke with the glass installer for my local Toyota dealer. He confirmed that they are a dealer only part and really do nothing as far as keeping water out. They are strictly decrative and a royal pain. He chalked it up to poor design stating that some 4runners and RAV4s have come that was from the factory. His opinion is, as long as no water is coming in and they are not flying off or flapping around, don't worry about it. Especially as it would be several hundred to replace them with new.
I had water come in on the driver's side b-pillar once once below the seat belt mount. But, it has not happened since - even after going through the last car wash. So, I bought some two-sided body molding tape and, as soon as the weather gets a little warmer, I will be tacking them down with that.
