Need HELP installing my E-Locker into the diff

Okay, so I have a problem. I've been refurbishing my broken e-locker actuator for a very long time now. I have finally got the actuator working but can't get it installed correctly.

When I go to install it I have the truck locked, pulled out the actuator, locked the diff manually. Then I assembled the actuator back in to the diff.

Buuuuut...

It doesn't unlock, just stays locked.

Okay so, do you think when we bench tested it a couple times we span it to the wrong side, so when the truck thinks its locked, the motor still is not. So when I assembled it, the motor would try to lock but the Motor gear would Just be pushing the worm gear no where because its already locked. So we have to spin it back on another bench test, that's all I got

What do you guys think it could be

Take the actuator out from the differential, Plug it to your harness and activate the switch.

It should spin, and have the diff light on. Then reassemble.


If the diff light is blinking, press the switch to deactivate it and the light should be off, then reassemble.

That's what I did! But I think when my brother and I bench tested it we spun it a couple times but didn't put it back to the origional position so now the truck will be trying to lock it in the already locked position. Understand what I mean?

Its been solved, the acctuator was trying to lock it when the truck was already locked! So we hooked it up and switched the acctuator so it was locked when the truck was. Then we installed it and it didn't work again, so were like "WHAT THE F***". WHen we tried installing it again we didn't fully tighten the nuts and bolt to full spec, and it worked! So it means that when it was tightened it would bind. So we tightened the bolts so it was secure but wouldn't bind. Works great now, other than the light which still foesn't go solid even though its locked, ill ake it off one more time and be done with it!
