Hey guys. I got 885's/superflex installed with LR UCA's and 285/70/17 duratracs. Off road shop orginally installed them with the logo facing you when you look at it. They said they had to adjust it to align it properly, now the logo is facing away from rear of truck. I don't think I've ever read of someone with this same setup, and there's quite a few, that at full lock rubs the body mount. Most say they pushed the front fender lining in/minimal trimming. Mine rubs on the body mount.

Loooong story short this off road shop did a pretty bad job and I'm not going back ever. I don't care if they offer to fix it. I don't trust them. Anyhow, I dont think I trust the alignmemt. It also wobbles at 50mph =T and my steering wheel is crooked.

I plan to get it re-aligned but need to know if I have to adjust my UCA'S setting to what the directions say. Or do I leave it and let the next shop adjust it accordingly....and hopefully (cross my fingers) does a better alignment. Help is greatly appreciated!

Here is a link to a PDF of the instructions:

Let me know if you still can't figure it out. I just installed mine two weeks ago with no issues.

The ball joint setting of "0" giving an overall +2" of caster is where most of us start.

I would set the BJ/UCA caster where you want it for caster, and then let the shop adjust use the LCA eccentrics from there. Perhaps the other shop started moving the settings on the UCA/BJ if the lower control arm eccentrics were partially seized up ?

If may be easier to set the BJ adjustment yourself, so the next shop is pointed in the right direction from the start. They do tend to get confused pretty quickly with these LR UCA's...

They had it at 0 to start and a Cam washer was seized and eventually broke. They replaced it then this is when they changed it to +1 caster. I dunno if that had something to do with the setting?

So much for documenting, or pictures on projects that isn't normal for them before starting, so they are putting things back properly when done.
