Need help on clarifying the stuff for TBU

When a customer wants to go after market on Calipers here at the dealership we always get Napa Eclipse. In the 3 years I have been at the dealership we have had 0 problems with them coming back with issues.

NAPA Bucket Sale

Was looking at the sale as an option, but it is May and the bucket sale ended in April. The clerk said they have the sales a couple times a year. Would like to do the brake job now...will have to figure out second best option...I know the Durablast are $4 bucks less at Autozone than the $81 at NAPA. Would like to convert my 2000 4Runner to the Tundra brakes. Was just in the process of upgrading to towing grade brakes when I started considering this option.

04465-35290 - OEM pads for the 231
04945-0C030 - OEM shim kit
43512-0C011 - OEM rotor
Just picked up mine today...

From a dealer presumably as those are OE numbers, correct?

I am about ready to pull the trigger on the Tundra kit...

Sorry to post on an old thread but I have a question that I can’t find any info on.

I recently bought a 99 Highlander edition. I absolutely love it. It’s been supercharged and runs awesome. The only problem it has is the front rotors are warped (at least one is). So I wanted to replace them but have obviously heard the tundra upgrade is the way to go. I am on a pretty tight budget so I’m debating whether I should upgrade or not. I don’t tow and don’t plan on running anything larger than what I have now (265/75/16). However, I saw a guy online is selling his rotors, calipers, and pads off his 2008 tundra because he is doing a TRD brake upgrade. I am wondering if the second gen tundras brakes are the same as the first gen brakes that everyone is using for the upgrade. He is selling them for $275. From what I can tell it is everything I need for the upgrade so the price seems great. I’m just not sure they would fit and I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find any info on the second gen tundras.

I would recommend just getting some Brembo rotors and Akebono pads. 2008 Tundra brake parts are not known to fit these, and I doubt they will. Too large.
