Need Help on New Tires: Duratracs or Revo2

Currently I have an 08 V8 4x4 4runner with a 2.5 to 3" ome lift. I still have the stock michelins on it and am looking to upgrade the tire size.

I am looking at the Goodyear Durtracs e rated in 265/70/r17 and the Revo2 in 265/70/r17 OR 255/75/r17

My main question is will any of these tires rub with my set up with the lift, Arb Front and CBi rear?

Is using a 255/75/r17 a way to avoid rubbing issues?

What's the use going to be? In my mind you're asking about apples and oranges; they are two very different tires IMHO.

I would do the 'C' rated Revo's in the 255 size but that's me... If you're in the desert all the time, aired-down and crawling over sharp rocks the 'E' rated Duratracs may be a better choice. They'll have a more robust sidewall and compound. If you're not crawling over very sharp, rugged terrain all of the time I'd prefer the Revo. Many go to the desert on P or C tires and never an issue.

The 255's will allow for a bit more clearance on the UCA (upper control arm), get better mpg, work better in most situations.

thanks for the info. I spend about 80 to 90% of my time on the road, and rarely hit trails that are bad. I am still starting out in offroading and will start heading out with the ttora NV chapter later this year.

I really like the looks of the duratrac, but I may go with the 255/75/r17 revos for economy.

I see that you have the goodyear sa in 255/75/r17. Do you have any issues with those?
