Hi all. I have an Hilux Surf (4Runner) from 1994, and start to show the code 14.
Already changed air-filter, fuel filter, clean the diesel pump...
Until the engine reaches normal operating temperature, no alarm, and the engine runs normally.
When the engine reaches normal temperature, lights the alarm, and starts to make a knocking noise valves (?)
Is possible that it is the ecu fault? The mechanic suspects of the ecu.
Is there any way to test if the problem is caused by the ecu without installing a new ecu to confirm? In Mozambique is very difficult to find a ecu equal to make the test.
My ECU is thin, and have dark gray cable connectors.
All help will be appreciated.
