Need Help with Rims Selection

Hey guys....

total newb when it comes to rims and dealing with backspace and offset....

That said, I really like the ATX AX201 but I see that the one that most closely matches the factory specs is the 17x9 6x5.5 -12 offset

will I have any issues with that rim? planning on keeping same size of tire and just adding a leveling kit to the truck.

Check to make sure a 265 will fit on 9" rims. I kinda doubt it but I am not sure.

With a -12 offset and 9" width, you are most likely going to have rubbing issues.

Method, Icon, and probably Fuel have 0 offset and 4.75 inch backspacing and I think those should fit fine.

I run the american racing baja's. They are almost exact replica of the ATX since they are made by the same company... The only difference is the center cap is different and they are cheaper. They offer a 17x8 with 4.5in BS and a 17X9, I cant remember the backspacing spec its either 4.5 or 4.75. I went with the 8" so that the sidewall could sit out a little bit. I run a 275/70/17 Firestone AT cause they were on sale on walmart's website for $88 a piece. They look great. Ill try to grab some pics later and throw them up.

That is a mighty wide rim. What tires are you planning to run?

If you ever plan to air down, narrower rim (suitable for tire) is better. TRD Pro rims in 17x7 are perfect for stock or 275/70 size, 7.5 to 8 would be better for 285/70

The specific tire you buy should show an approved rim width (see mine below). A 9" wide wheel is right on the outer limit for the stock tire size and might not work with the tires you want. Not to mention additional weight / rolling resistance.

Got it... will take all those things in consideration.... might just go with FN Wheels or even the TRD...

I run those specs exactly on my Mamba M-14's and a 275/75/17 KO.....no problem. 265's will be very square sidewall on a 9'' though.
