need help with tire size for 5th gen 20" limited wheels on my 07

i want to keep the same factory tire height as my 265/65/17 and i'm certain a 265/50/20 solves that, but what about the width? they are 20x8. tirerack says i need 265/50/20 for 8.5" and 9" but they don't sell any 20x8 wheels. am i good with 265/50/20 for a 20x8 wheel? also will i be able to use my TPMS sensors with the new wheels? thanks!

255/55 R20 is your best option if you want to keep it as close to stock diameter as possible. That is the next tire size I will be getting once I wear the stock tires out. Wheels are 20x7 I believe which limits the size you can get.

these after aftermarket wheels styled like the limited wheels. since they aren't Toyota they are actually 8" wide. do I still need a 255/55?

Trust me. U will get a little more cushion ride. More rubber without have to worry about rim damage. I used to run 285 40 r22 but that was close to stock, I hit a pouthole and it cause a small bend to my rim, now I run 285 45 r22, it's a 32inch overall tire but have me a more cushioned ride, does feel less harsher.

thanks! I'm going to go go that route. I called a couple places and they also recommended that size as long as I wouldn't rub. I went out and checked and I don't think I will. you're talking about 3/4" difference all around.

it might be close, but wont rub, my setup is close and still no rub on upper control arm, only full lock to lock turn at high speed i will rub the flaps

what brand are you going to run? i like my yokohama parada tires, nice and quiet and grip on hot summer days. i dont see snow here in california, but rain, and i just turn on 4wd to get even better traction.

mine is 2wd if there is any difference in suspension

i suggest yokohoma, or something better than the good year, i think the goodyear wears out quickly. since they are a lower rating. maybe the cooper if you want some offroad tread.
