i have a 94 4runner 2wd 200k miles 3.0...
my problem is that sometimes when im on the freeway or street... i hit the gas and my car goest to a certain speed and rpm... its always around 3k rmp and 50 to 60 mph... it happens at random... i hate it cuz i cant speed up and i tried taking off overdrive and still the same issue..
anyone with the same issue or fixed the issue or suggestions...??

kinda confusing the way you worded that.. do you mean it stays in a gear that is 3k rpm's at 50mph? if so, tha means your not dropping into overdrive. it's a common problem with these trucks. usually caused from the engine not reaching normal operation tempurature, or the temp sensor for the ecu is going bad. give me a little more detail on the symptoms and i'll see if i can think of a solution
 
when it happens im driving and it stays stuck at that speed and rpm.. like if i have a speeding limit on it (kinda like if the truck wont go faster then that certain speed) i try to accle. but it wont go faster... im not sure if u understand.
 
ooooh ok, now that makes sense. like you have a govoner. is it un reasonibly slow on acceleration to that speed? or does it accellerate and then all of a sudden stop speeding up?... have you checked to make sure your getting full throttle? (my cable was way loose once and when i was petal to the metal the throttle was acctually only 2/3's of the way open.)

This is what i think it would be to make sure your throttle cable it tight and its adjusted to the correct length..
