Need Info : 2003 Sport Crossbars

Hi, I just purchased an 03 Sport and I don't have any crossbars. I see some on ebay listed for an 05-09 with an outside to outside measurement or 42.25 inches.

I measured the inside to inside edges of my crossbars and I am around 41.5 inches. Are the 03-04 crossbars a different size or did he measure wrong or has crossbars for a different toyota?

Anyone got some crossbars that they know will fit that they want to part with?

I want to put a bike carrier on the roof that I can leave on for quick trips without having to mount my hitch carrier.

All (trims) 2003-05 4Runners and 2006-09 SR5 and Limited have the same physical roof rack. 2006-09 Sport Edition and Urban Runner have a tubular style roof rack. I'm not sure if the cross bars are different on the tubular style rack.

What might be possible is the seller's measurement includes the part of the crossbar that goes inside the side rails.
