Need info for my build..

I am new to this so bare with me.. i am thinking about getting the following:

Lift:
1. 3" Lift w/spacers & rear OME coils
2. 2 inch body lift from toytec

Wheels/tires:
1. 15x8 inch crager soft 8 rims
2. 33x12.5x15 Goodyear duratracs

Anyone know if there will be any specifiations that will be needed with using this? Could I go up to 35's?

I'm not sure if you can run 15" wheels. A lot of the 4runners brakes are too big for 15 wheels. Might work with spacers but I'm not sure.

Well I wasn't really worried about the wheels as much.. I can keep stock on and be happy! I just didn't know what the biggest size tire i could go on stock wheels..

Oh yeah. 3 inch suspension and 2 inch body should be plenty to run 33. Idk about 12.5 wide simply cuz most run metric sized tires. In fact a lot of people run 35's. Takes some pounding and trimming and probably spacers also but they make it work. Check out some build threads. And there's also a thread that bandit runner started that has a lot of info about fitting 35s.

And some guys like blcktpgsr and I can't think of any of the others sadly that are running 35s. But check the build thread collections sticky

Do NOT run spacers ... they suck, ask me how I know. It's definitely worth spending the extra 200-300 on a proper lift.

Are the spacers not good for offroad only or just all together?

Small spacers aren't bad but I agree with absalom here. Larger spacers just make for a terrible ride and they'll wear your other suspension parts out very quickly. Hunt around for some used springs, no shame in 2nd hand parts. I use them all the time and I like to think my 4Runners are all pretty cool. Good luck.

No, I think you should find some used parts. Tundra TRD front springs and some used OME rear springs.

Gotta say i agree...but if in an area where like i am where used parts that are in good shape are hard to find...i would suggest going with Toytec but not the OME lift...ride is a lil rough from what i have read on here and yotatech over the years...I have bilstein 5100 w/ the progressive rate Eibach Spring and bilstein 5125 w/ 890 OME coil springs in the rear, going with a landcruiser spring and not having an aftermarket bumper gives to much rake in my opinion...but 890 OME give a good level lift with a fairly decent ride...but be sure to get the diff drop and panhard drop bracket/bar...dont wanna get ur CVs to high and without the drop bracket u will have more body roll...not fun...but honestly its to eachs own..there are several great write ups and build thread with guys with alot of experience with different lifts...good luck!!!

I'll second this comment about not going with OME. Read Rickashay's thread on it. I've got OME on the front and rear and am thinking of changing over the rear to something different. Whenever I go over bumps the rear end feels like it launches off the speed bump because of the spring rate.
