Need new upper control arms!

Hey guys , I've had it with my stock UCA's, I cant stand the handling and inability to have a proper alignment anymore... I also have the annoying clunking over repeated bumps, braking, and stopping, which seems to be the UCA's. I'm looking at a couple options for my 2002 4runner. I wanted some advice from those of you that run Aftermarket UCA's. I'm Running 2.5" lift up front with Bilstein 5100's and stock coils.
Here's what I'm looking at

I would love to hear what you all have to say about them, make me the best recommendation. I'd like to get a kit that has all the replacement hardwear so I don't re-use the old stuff.

All I can say it's $$$$$$$$

From what I hear, rd are the most adjustable.

And the other ones are they say stronger , but the uni ball is exposed and can collect dirt. Just little extra maintance.

I had the the Total Chaos UCAs on my Tacoma. They are great, really well made, got me aligned where I needed to be and helped the suspension flex a little better.

The Uniball is exposed, you have to clean and lube it regularly. I highly recommend the stainless steel uniballs. I got the regular ones and they deteriorated from road salt pretty quickly. Had to press them out and replace with the SS units.
 
LR usually run the cheapest and several people really like them. How much time do you spend on trails?
 
When I build out my t4r (soon), the front end is going to include TC UCA's. The uniball construction is the way to go for lifted and extended travel. Total Chaos UCA's cost a bit more than others, but for good reason.

I had Light Racing UCAs on my Tacoma along with extended travel Icon COs.

The ball joints failed and did so WAY too early in my opinion. The idea behind the LR construction seems good, but I had bad luck with them holding up.
 
LR offers the most fixed adjustability (if that makes sense), but uses a ball joint. The way it is set up though you still get more down travel than the factory arms. Ball joints are also sealed vs open like the uniballs in TC and Camburg.

Camburg and Total Chaos are almost identical in design. If you don't believe me go find a store that has them both, or find vehicles with them. I've looked at them in person and couldn't tell a difference really besides color and I think the Camburg arms have a brake line bracket. Camburg is cheaper and uses a different company for uniballs I think. Either would be a good choice and both now have zerk fittings for the bushings. You really can't go wrong with either option.

Icon offers a sealed uniball, but is not worth the hefty price in my opinion. Other than the sealed uniball they are comparable to TC and Camburg.

I have the TC arms and have Tundra billies and springs on the third perch and I was able to get my truck aligned to spec with these arms. I don't have issues with the springs contacting the arms or spindle either. This has been reported with every aftermarket UCA though depending on the setup you have. I like TC arms a lot and would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for the advice so far, I'm still giving it a lot of thought! I want to make the right choice!! I'm thinking I'll probably get the camburgs, but I'll wait for more responses.

I do a couple trails a year, such as browns camp, and tons of fire roads/forestry roads. Lots of camping, mountain biking, etc, so usually all of my outdoor activities end up far off the beaten path.
 
how did they work out

I've run into a similar problem with my UCAs and was wondering how your install went. Are you happy with your choice of UCAs?

I grease my upper ball joints quarterly or before/after harsh conditions, i.e. Water/sand. I have typically used lithium based because I wanted to keep them well lubed while playing in the water/sand. However; synthetic grease (Mobil 1) is hugely more robust than regular(so I have heard).

This is what I switched to. For my grease zerks and ball joints.
