need opinions of 3rd gen owners

Well it looks like I will be trading my 03 SE V8 for a more friendly crossover for the wife. I want to buy a 3rd gen for myself, but my budget will be limited with the purchase of the new car for the wife.

What do you guys think of this truck?

Its high miles but it sounds like its has the proper maintenance. I live in PA and wont have a chance to see the truck before/or if, I buy it.

For the price you cant go wrong. 200K on a toyota is nothin if it was well cared for.

It almost seems too good to be true for $4660, even though its a bid. But the price seems a little low doesn't it? But the truck looks awesome to me I'd be real interested. If it is what it says it is I would snatch that up if I were you. Let us know.

realllllly good price...I paid 14g for mine 4 years ago...I'm sure the going price for an 01 is still around 8-10g

i would say deffinitly do it. However i would also say, stick by your computer an hour before the auction ends. Make a preliminary bid an hour before its over. Then 5 minutes before its over, if you have been outbid, bid to your highest amount your willing to pay.

The dude ended the auction without notice, then sends me a message thru Ebay and tells me he sold it for 8K.

Needless to say, I was PO'd.

I have seen 00'-01's in good condition with less miles go at DEALER'S for 7800 - 10000. (been looking over the summer)
8,000 private sale for that one is not as much of a stellar deal, so dont feel too bad
