Need plans for a tube bumper! HELP!

I have the opportunity to get a free aluminum or stainless steel front bumper built, I just need good plans to follow.

I would really appreciate some suggestions as I have a short window of time to get this done!

I feel like I am leaving out 1-2 but these are just off the top of my head. Others please fill in.

When I built mine, approach angle/clearance was my first priority. Next was to keep the rest tight but still protect. Also leave ~5/8" clearance between the bumper and the body for flex (FYI, the rear needs more clearance).

Looks like the savage off road bumper would be the simplist to replicate. Not sure on the mounting points though. It would awesome if I could magically acquire their measurements on lengths and angles

The mounting points are a bigger issue than the rest. You don't want to yank off the bumper during a recovery and if you are mounting a winch, there are those forces too.

The stock bumper mounting points are not strong. They are built to hold the bumper on the vehicle and take impacts, not pulls.

I don't know if you can get plans from them, but TTORA has a fabrication section on the forum with guys that have a wealth of knowledge. They're a bit of a rough group of guys, so make sure you don't go asking too many noob questions or they might not take it too easy on you. Check out the section for ideas if nothing else.

You are going to need to make a crossmember unless you are just making it for looks. As Gerdo said, the stock mounts are not up to the task of winching. I would think it's gonna be kinda hard to find any detailed plans for any of the vendors bumpers as I'm guessing they would not be happy about having their stuff copied.

Sounds like you're having someone build this that doesn't usually do this type of thing. If that's the case, ya better open up your time window. While it seems simple, these vendors have spent many hours designing and a lot of trial and error to see what works.
