Need Some Expertise!

Looking for a 2"-3" body lift for a 93 V6 2WD Auto.
I'm trying to avoid the complications of a suspension lift, just trying to get a little more height for 31" tires.

I can't find anything that meets my criteria.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

high expectations and body lifts don't go together...

Blocks and joint spacers aren't to much more complicated and are far superior to a body lift.

When you say blocks and joint spacers, what does that mean? Are you talking about coil spring spacers?

Can you explain more?

I have no experience with it, but.... A body lift separates your body from your frame thus increasing the leverage your body has against your frame. It will make your truck feel Topsy turvy and sloppy.

It makes your steering shaft to short, your bummers useless and possible wiring harness issues.

Your auto transmission should just have a straight rod from the bottom of the shiffter to the pawl actuator on the side of the tranny so lifting the body away might make the rod to short.

Youll have to search here about spacers, but body lift is not the way...

Good luck dude.

I know there are things like balljoint spacers and rear coil spacers but I can't find any online for my truck.

I can't really make my own, so could I just use the ones for 4WD Manual ones?

Check out SDORI ball joint spacers. They have some for 2wd SDORI is committed to to finding new and innovative ways to enhance the performance  of 1st and 2nd generation Toyota trucks and I would suggest against a body lift and go with BJ spacers and some FJ80 rear coils.
I don't know if anyone caught this yet, but you don't need a lift for 31's. They fit just fine under the stock height. I have them on my 4runner right now. Many 4runners came out of the factory with 31's so a body lift or any lift would be overkill unless you are ever going to go to 33's.

I thought about that but didnt know if 2X4 was maybe a lil shorter

I don't think they are, but I never actually seen a 2wd 2nd gen around. They look like they are the same height and I can't imagine Toyota changing all that much on them height wise at that time. If it is shorter, he can always go 30x9.5 and that would fit for sure.
