that's what I thought... but the driver side is shiny... and is much more worn than the other....

Well you'll have to take it apart and see then! Don't count out sitting though as something as simple as which side faces the weather can make a difference. On mine for example, I recently did the suspension and brakes- stuff on the driver's side was breaker bar and torch time, and stuff on the passenger side practically fell off comparatively speaking...

Always replace pads/rotors as a pair. On Mean Green, it would be an easy job minus the impact the years of rust have had on the braking system.

Well.. turns out both rear wheel cylinders were leaking inside the boot... and I couldn't see it until we pulled it open. Also, rear shoes are toast (body shop used my e-brake, seized it, and didn't tell me, so they over heated and cracked), front rotor is toast, gonna need to replace those... but not right away.
The cylinders were done at the shop, along with a new brake line in the back. I opted to change the shoes myself.... but parts availability was an issue here... and next day order was gonna be a reality (needed it done today due to scheduling issues), so Lee offered to pick them up at a local parts store, drive a half hour to get here, and install them with me for the cost of some fuel + the part! I'm looking at around $35.00 for the Wagner OE shoes, and I offered to pay him $20.00 for his time (more than he asked for).
He's on his way as I type this, to help me do it. Also, the shop suggested I get a set of High End Stainless Rotors for the front, as I sometimes let the truck sit for a week at a time, which is the cause of my front brake issues in the first place, and the SS set won't rust. He told me to wait til they go on sale at the local part store, and get them then.
All in all.... should run me $200.00 today.... plus whatever it costs me to do the front......

Glad to hear you have this figured out. Lee sounds like a great friend too!
Stainless steel rotors?:wtf: Any rust would fly off in one or two turns of the rotor. Sounds a little like "Bling".
I "googled" the difference and would stay away myself. I suggest you do the same (search, I mean) and make an educated decision. Shops will always push their higher margin (profit) products.

Up here in the great white north you can get PremiumOne Rotors at Crappy tire and while I've never used any myself a buddy uses them on his cars, including his race car which obviously sits idle for stretches and he's been very happy with them. When I need rotors those are what I'll be getting.
Also, as you probably know, everything in crappytire goes on sale for 50% off eventually if you're patient...

Well it's all done and Mr. Lee saved the day again! $60.00 out the door, and the brakes work great! E-brake has also been serviced! 
BTW, Lee did inspect the bellcranks (although we had a different name for it... lol), he took them apart, cleaned them up, and greased all the moving parts. The entire boot was stuffed with Multi-purpose grease.... so shouldn't have any more issues with that again!!!!
