Need some HELP!!

My idler arm bushings have worn out on my '94 and I'm having trouble finding replacements here in Nicaragua. Does anyone know if part numbers or the parts themselves are different in Latin America?

I've called 3 dealerships and no one has the right ones. I ordered some from a dealer, they were from a '91 and I thought they would fit but they were too small. Did they change the diameter of the idler arm between '91 and '94?

I'm even more confused because the replacement grease seal I ordered has the same part number and it fits fine...

Thanks in advance...

Crisis averted. Found the only idler arm for my model within a 500 mile radius. Scored it for $70.

Cheers

That's what I was going to suggest - screw the bushings, replace the whole idler.

It was not of a cost thing than anything...new bushings $10 vs the $70 cost of the new idler. $70 down here goes a lonnnggg way. In the end no one had bushings for my year within a few hundred miles anyway, and I think I got the only new idler arm in Nicaragua.

Turns out though, the 'Japanese Quality' Made in China idler arm was just that...Made in China. Either the dust cap was too small or the washer was too big, and I found out the hard way many 100's of km down some pretty rough remote road. Because of the binding between the washer and the cap, the nut came off the top of the shaft so my whole idler was just flopping around inside of there...when I pulled the dust cap off the washer was jammed so hard inside the cap I could barely get it out. Had to grind the washer down (on a nearby rock) so it would allow everything to rotate freely..

Nothing like having to disassemble the whole thing AGAIN on the side of a Costa Rican mountain pass wide enough for 1 1/2 Toyota's with these crazy ass drivers down here zippin by at 60mph...wish I got some pics but I just wanted to get the hell outta there.
